It’s what we leave our next generation.
We believe in the power of community investment to build the best future possible.
We believe that in order to bring the best of what we have to offer, we have to bring all of us to the table. Inherentance NFP and its sister organizations have built alliances across local, regional and national partners that believe in an equitable, redemptive and mutually beneficial economy.
Our Partners:
The Marc and Jeanne Malnati Family Foundation was founded in 2019 by Marc and Jeanne Malnati out of their unwavering commitment to the city they call home. Through strategic investments with community partners working in Chicago to promote peacebuilding, mental wellness, education, and workforce development, Marc and Jeanne are dedicated to creating opportunities for individuals to communicate, connect, and thrive in their personal lives. Marc and Jeanne believe that these pathways, together with quality resources and support, will invigorate Chicago and make our communities stronger, safer, and more just.
We know that in order to build a more equitable future, we must create new paths to workforce, invest directly in community businesses, quality generational housing that people can afford, and stay with our communities in the long term to ensure every home, household, block and community are supported and thriving.

introducing chicago's first tiny home
The City of Chicago will deploy it’s first Tiny Home Village to support more housing options and more communities through a range of housing typologies across our city. We have been collaborating across city departments, non-profits and community voices to move this initiative forward, and have hosted deep dive discussions with City leadership to define this pilot and set an agenda for meeting each of our communities where they, and their needs, are. We invite you to join us in this initiative, building a better, more equitable city for all of us!
Both material and monetary contributions are tax deductible. All donors will be recognized on this prototype at the 2024 Tiny Home Summit.
Designed to be incorporated in a Tiny Home Village, this prototype considers Chicago Building Code, Department of Housing strategies for small units and deployability on existing Chicago Parcels. As designed, ten (10) homes, with additional community space and community gardens, fit on a double, 50’-0” x 125’-0”, Chicago parcel.
